The End of Speech-Language Therapy as Usual

Brandy N. Storck, MS CCC-SLP/L, LSLS Cert. AVT,

Founder & Lead Speech-Language Pathologist

In addition to being a wife and mother of three beautiful young boys,

Brandy N. Storck, MS CCC-SLP/L, LSLS Cert. AVT, has been specializing in Speech-Language Pathology and Listening and Spoken Language (AVT) services, providing therapy, coaching, and consulting to children, families, and schools, since 2002. Before relocating to Franklin, TN in 2017 she spent 14 years in private practice in Southeast Missouri, pioneering programming to give access to listening and spoken language services to the pediatric hearing impaired community of her region. Upon arriving to TN, she then began to further her training as an executive function specialist with a focus on ADHD, trauma-informed care, and learning differences.

With over 21 years of experience in the field, the passion for what she does is founded on a fundamental belief that the family is the greatest expert their child will ever have. She has spent the entirety of her career coaching, consulting, and investing into the whole team rather than just the child, recognizing that in so doing, you net a far greater return on your teaching investment in the developmental magnitude of the child.

As she came to understand her own childhood trauma and the effect it had on her learning and social/emotional experiences throughout academia, she realized that the work she did in helping children establish new pathways in the prefrontal cortex was only as effective as the health of the limbic system operating below it. While simultaneously seeing that the family-centered therapies provided were only as effective as the mental health of the families carrying them out.

She learned that the information, education, and understanding supporting this connection across fields was painfully limited, to the detriment of optimal, wholistic child development.  As a result, she has been on a mission to close the gap between Speech-Language Pathology, Neuroscience, and Mental Health, for the children AND the families served having created Limbic Love to begin to accomplish just that.

Throughout Her Career

Brandy has used her unique professional experiences and trainings to develop several programs and resources including Bloomers Toddler Play & Learn Classes, Words & Wiggles Preschool Play & Learn Classes, Braindrops: A Lifestyle of Early Listening, Language, & Learning, and Limbic Love: A Whole Brain, Whole Child, Whole Family Approach.

She has been invited to speak and provide teachings and presentations to developmental therapist trainings as well as preschool professional development meetings.  She was also asked to create an online mini-course to support therapists who are preparing to sit for their Auditory-Verbal Certification Exam internationally.  In her free time she is a writer at There's So Much More for her own therapeutic enjoyment, documenting the mysteries and countless testimonies that have comprised her life.

Oh, friends! This is gonna be big fun!

Payment for Therapy Services

Several years ago we changed our model regarding private paying families to better meet the needs of the clients we serve. We made the decision to no longer accept insurance given the increased cost and decreased service availability that often accompanies an insurance-based model. There are countless individuals in need of services that are "slipping through the cracks" such as those:

  • who may not meet the school or insurance company qualifications for services.
  • whose school is not able to provide all of the services needed to support the child's unique educational needs.
  • who may be in need of extra supports in addition to school services.
  • who may need "medically" based services in addition to the "educationally" based services provided in the school system.
  • who may be infants and toddlers that do not meet the criteria to qualify for the TEIS program but are certainly in need of additional supports and resources.
  • whose insurance company will only provide a limited amount of services that are not sufficient for the presenting needs.

We want to be able to see the need and meet it by offering a unique and innovative model for families. Our services are provided in increments of 30- or 45-minute sessions meeting weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly if warranted. When scheduling allows, we may also be able to offer small group therapy sessions, of individuals working together towards similar goals, providing an even more affordable option with the costs being shared amongst participating families. This model has been welcomed and appreciated by our clients in addition to individual therapy services.

We typically bill for the service provided within 24 hours of delivery for which the family is the responsible party for payment. However, monthly, we will provide you with a Superbill containing the CPT codes and ICD10 codes required for insurance billing for you to independently submit in seeking insurance reimbursement for the out of pocket expenses incurred.

We accept cash, check, and credit/debit card. Please contact us at 573-450-8242 or use the form below to request a comprehensive list of fees per service.  The initial phone consult is free. Additional consults, phone or in-person, are subject to a fee.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
